Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has taken to Twitter to update fans on his current injury and has said that he is making good progress.

The Blues attacker fractured his right ankle while away with international side Belgium a few weeks ago, and has since had an operation to correct the problem in London.

The 26-year-old shared pictures of himself using crutches on his official Twitter account and told fans that his family were helping him while he was recovering.

The 26-year-old is expected to sit out the beginning of the 2017/18 season while his ankle fully heals, which means the Chelsea goal-machine will miss out on key fixtures against Tottenham, Everton, Arsenal, and Manchester City.

Hazard was a key contributor during the previous season and helped Chelsea win the Premier League title, in addition to helping the club reach the FA Cup final against Arsenal.

Blues fans will be pleased to see the Belgian making a good recovery as the attacker provided 17 goals in addition to seven assists during his 43 appearances across all competitions for the London club.

Boss Antonio Conte will want to see the Chelsea Player of the Year return to full health as soon as possible ready to help retain the club’s Premier League title, in addition to providing a strong Champions League campaign.
