Chelsea are favourites to sign Juventus defender Dani Alves, according to the latest betting odds.

Leading bookmaker Sky Bet have priced the 34-year-old at 4/1 to make a switch to the Premier League champions before September 3.

Manchester City, who are managed by Alves’ former boss Pep Guardiola, are priced at 9/2 to land the signature of the experienced right-back, with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain coming in as outsiders at 22/1.

Alves recently helped Juventus win the domestic double during the recently concluded campaign, but he was also part of the side that lost 4-1 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final earlier on this month.

The Brazil international played in a wing-back role during that match but his team were outclassed on the night with Cristiano Ronaldo netting a brace.

Nonetheless, if Alves were to make the switch to Stamford Bridge then he would not have any problems in settling into Antonio Conte’s system.

The Italian changed to a back three, accompanied by wing-backs, in October which played a big part in Chelsea winning the PL title and winning 30 of their 38 encounters.

Alves, who won three Champions League trophies during his time at Barcelona, has one year left on his current deal at Juventus after he made 33 appearances in all competitions for them last term.
