Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin has agreed personal terms with La Liga giants Barcelona, according to a RAC1 report.

The Spanish media outlet claim the Catalan giants have agreed a deal with the 22-year-old right-back, but they are yet to reach an agreement with Arsenal over a transfer fee.

This comes after Sport reported that Bellerin was set to enter talks with Barcelona this summer over a return to Spain.

However, Sky Sports stated on their transfer blog on Thursday (1.56pm) that the Gunners were confident of holding onto the Spanish right-back.

The 22-year-old arrived at the Emirates in 2011 in a switch from Barcelona’s youth team, and he has since played 115 league and cup games for the club.

Bellerin was a mainstay in the Gunners’ back line last term, making 42 appearances in all competitions, which yielded five assists.

He has been capped by Spain’s senior side on three occasions, and he made his debut in a 3-1 friendly win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in May of last year.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will be keen to keep hold of Bellerin, who is one of the Premier League’s most promising young defenders.

The Frenchman is looking to bolster his squad this summer ahead of a serious title challenge in the 2017/18 campaign, and has already completed the signing of Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
