Jack Wilshere played 29 Premier League matches during the recently concluded season, some effort for a player that only managed to play 17 games for the previous two campaigns.

The 25-year-old, who broke onto the scene at Arsenal as a teenager, has struggled to contend with injuries which has in tune played havoc in his development.

Arsene Wenger opted to send Wilshere out on loan to Bournemouth last summer, which perhaps indicates what the Frenchman thinks about the midfielder and his future at the north London club.

Rafa Benitez recently helped Newcastle earn promotion back to the promise land and he would be the ideal coach to get Wilshere’s career back on track.

The Spaniard should make a summer move for the England international because if he can get the best out of him then he would do wonders at St James’ Park.

Following their Championship triumph added with seasons of struggles, the future is now looking bright for the Toon Army faithful.

They have a top class manager in charge, a huge fan base and all they need now is support from the boardroom to attract the players that are capable of putting Newcastle back on the map.

Regardless of Wilshere’s recent troubles, he is a player than can do that from the middle of the park and added with more top class additions, the Newcastle faithful can start dreaming again.
