Malaga Striker Sandro Ramirez has revealed that he’s “not in a hurry” to get to a big club during an interview with AS.

This will come as a blow to Everton after a report in The Sun recently claimed that Blues boss Ronald Koeman was confident of landing the Spanish forward.

In the AS interview Sandro stated that the his focus is on the national team and that first-team football is a priority, ahead of a move to a bigger club.

The Spaniard would be a welcome addition to the Toffees with Koeman likely preparing his squad for Romelu Lukaku’s potential exit this summer.

The 21-year old striker has has found his feet at Malaga following a move from Barcelona last year, stating that he has “matured a lot”.

Sandro enjoyed a good campaign at Malaga last season, scoring 14 goals and providing five assists in 30 league appearances.

He is reported to have a release clause of just £5million, and when asked about his price tag he said: “It’s true that I have a low clause, but right now I’m still a Málaga player and I want to be focused on the national team. I’m not in a hurry [to move to a big team].”

Koeman is expected to have a busy transfer window this summer ahead of their Europa League campaign next term, especially if star striker Lukaku is to depart, leaving a gap and a big bag of money to spend.

As it stands, the odds for Ramirez to stay at the Spanish club sit at 4/6 according to Sky Bet.

Everton trail close behind though at 11/8 suggesting that a move to the Premier League is still very much possible.
