Everton winger Kevin Mirallas could be seen as surplus to requirements by manager Ronald Koeman, according to Fanatik

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are said to be waiting in the wings to secure the 29-year-old’s signature if he does depart Goodison Park this summer.

The news comes just a month after Koeman told the club’s official website that he wanted to bring in players who offered “more productivity”.

TalkSPORT also reported that Mirallas is “understood to not be part of Ronald Koeman’s long-term plans.”

Everton have already splashed the cash in an attempt to improve their side, with Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Ajax attacking midfielder Davy Klaassen both joining for fees worth in excess of £23million.

Fans may be surprised by the manager’s decision to try and get rid of Mirallas, with the 58-time-capped Belgian international a regular first team player, having appeared in 35 of the club’s 38 Premier League games last season.

A versatile winger who can play on either flank, his return perhaps was not up to Koeman’s standards, as he scored four goals and produced six assists in his league appearances.

Since joining from Greek side Olimpiacos in 2012, Mirallas has gone on to make 173 appearances for the Toffees, hitting the back of the 38 times while chipping in with 32 assists.
