Claudio Ranieri is in the running to be next manager of Crystal Palace, according to The Sun.

The report states that the ex-Leicester manager has previously been linked with the vacant Leeds United position, however a return to the top could be tempting for the charismatic Italian.

Ranieri has been out of work since February after getting sacked by Leicester City following a dismal second season at the club.

During his time with the Foxes he performed a miracle, taking them to the Premier League title ahead of Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City.

Now he could be in line for a return to the Premier League after Sam Allardyce quit the club in a shock move in May.

Leeds are also in the market for a new manager after Garry Monk decided not to renew his contract at the club.

Leeds have already ruled out moves for Aitor Karanka, Simon Grayson and Michael Laudrup, as they look to replace the popular Monk ahead of another season in the Championship.

Ranieri is still the second favourite for the job at Leeds according to the latest odds from Sky Bet (7/2) and he is narrowly behind Leeds assistant coach Pep Clotet who is the favourite at 11/8.
