Leeds United are set to continue their transfer overhaul by completing a move for Spanish scout Dani Salas, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Spanish newspaper claim that Salas is set to leave La Liga high fliers Sevilla to join the Championship club.

Estadio Deportivo report that Spaniard Salas will join his countryman Victor Orta at Leeds as the wave of changes instigated by new sole owner Andrea Radrizzani continues at a breathless pace.

The Yorkshire giants recruited Orta as their new director of football last week just days after he quit recently-relegated Middlesbrough.

This come after another Spaniard, Ivan Bravo, was appointed on to Leeds board of directors, while the club are also on the search for a new manager following the resignation of Garry Monk.

Estadio Deportivo report that Orta is set to make his first move at Elland Road by imminently luring Salas to the club.

It is said that Salas oversees player identification in Portugal and south America, with players from those regions, including Daniel Carrico, Gabriel Mercado, Ganso and Diego Perotti, playing huge roles in Sevilla’s recent success.

The Spanish club won three successive Europa Leagues between 2014 and 2016 in what was the best spell of sustained success in their history.

Salas, much like Orta himself, was part of the Sevilla recruitment team headed by the much heralded transfer guru Monchi, who recently quit to join Serie A outfit Roma.
