Albert Adomah has admitted that he wishes he had the qualities of his Aston Villa teammate Andre Green.

The 29-year-old winger specifically stated that he could only hope to be as quick as the highly-rated 18-year-old, who had a breakthrough season at Villa Park this term.

Green, who also plays on the flanks like Adomah, played 15 Championship matches for Villa this term, featuring on a regular basis under Steve Bruce before injury towards the back end of the campaign cut his season short.

When Ghana international Adomah was talking about his teammates, he was pretty clear that Green is the quickest player in the squad.

“I think it’s Andre Green if I’m honest,” said Adomah as posted by the club’s official YouTube account. “I wish I was fast like him. But Andre Green.”

Despite his team failing to secure promotion to the Premier League and finishing in the bottom half of the table, Adomah endured a fairly successful debut campaign in the Midlands.

Adomah made a move from Middlesbrough last summer after he helped them earn promotion to the top tier. He played 38 league games for Villa, providing 11 assists added with his three strikes.

The London-born player is known for his quick feet and trickery out wide, while Green possesses pace and strength on the ball.

The duo will be key figures for Bruce in the final third next season as he aims to guide the club back to the Premier League.
