West Ham’s interest in Watford attacker Isaac Success is wide of the mark, according to a report, according to the Harrow Times

Nigerian news outlet All Nigeria Soccer claimed earlier in the month that the Hammers were set to reignite their interest in the 21-year-old left-winger after missing out on his signature in 2016.

However, the Harrow Times have since given an update on the Hornets’ attacker’s future at the Hertfordshire-based side, claiming that a source close to the one-time capped Nigeria international has denied reports linking him to the east London club.

It is also detailed that Success will be handed a clean slate for the next campaign with manager Walter Mazzarri set to depart the club.

Success had little joy under the Italian, starting just twice in the Premier League while marking 19 appearances in total.

He returned just one goal and one assist in those outings and he will be hoping for vast improvement next season.

West Ham meanwhile have Robert Snodgrass and Sofiane Feghouli occupying their wing roles, but they could be looking for a further addition with the January signing from Hull also struggling in his opening months at the club.

Additionally, Slaven Bilic will be scouring the market for players who he feels can help the Hammers improve on their 11th placing and he will be looking to return the club to Europe as soon as possible.
