Guingamp winger Yannis Salibur is the most likely player to join Leeds United in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Sky Sports’ transfer section regularly plugs its Football Whispers, which claimed on Tuesday evening that the French wide forward is the likeliest Elland Road arrival.

There have been recent reports that Ligue 1 outfit Guingamp will grant permission for Salibur to find a new club this summer.

The French media reported last summer that Leeds had made a bid for the 26-year-old former France Under-19 international but it was said that he was not interested in dropping down a division.

Intriguingly, BBC Sport reported on their website that Salibur came close to joining recently relegated Premier League club Hull City in the January transfer window.

It is said that a fee of £9million had been agreed for the deal to be completed on deadline day but a delay in processing the paperwork meant the plug was pulled on the switch.

Football Whispers, which gathers all transfer rumours across the globe and calculates the likelihood of them happening, rates it 1.3 out of 5 that Stockdale will join Leeds, with five the highest possible ranking and meaning it is a certainty.

The Frenchman is ahead in the ratings of Spanish manager Aitor Karanka, who has a rating of 1.1, and Leeds-born goalkeeper David Stockdale, who is rated a t 1.0 to transfer to Elland Road this summer.

Salibur has been a mainstay of the Guingamp side this season, scoring eight goals and supplying six more from 35 league appearances.
