Rangers are in talks with Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans over a potential summer move, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper claim that the Scottish club are working on a deal to sign the 30-year-old midfielder, who is set to leave Norwich in the forthcoming transfer window.

Dorrans still has two more years left to run on his current contract at Carrow Road, but he looks set to be shown the exit door as the Championship club undergo a major transformation of the first-team squad.

Rangers are also likely to make wholesale changes in the coming months, and Dorrans is said to be high on their summer wishlist.

The 11-time Scotland international would bring both Premier League and international experience to Ibrox, having spent a number of years in England’s top flight with West Brom and making 142 top-fight appearances.

He contributed six goals and one assist from 24 appearances last season, where he saw opportunities limited because of injury.

Dorrans will likely have several options to choose from if booted out of Norwich this summer, but having supported the club as a youngster, Rangers represents a favourable option.

Ibrox chiefs have been hard at work pressing ahead with their summer transfer plans, despite manager Pedro Caixinha having spent the last couple of days in Portugal.

Talks over a potential Ibrox move for Dorrans are still ongoing.
