QPR have turned down a bid worth up to £3million from Everton for young attacker Josh Bowler, according to the Sky Sports transfer centre blog.

Sky Sports has claimed on Tuesday (12.21pm) via their popular blog that the Toffees have had a seven-figure bid turned down for the 18-year-old from the London-based Championship club.

It is detailed that the Merseysiders went in with an initial offer of £1.5million, with the rest of the fee due in add-ons.

But, QPR are determined to keep the right-winger who signed a professional contract at the club as recently as February, taking him up to the summer of 2018.

Bowler has impressed in the youth ranks of the Loftus Road outfit and was awarded with his senior debut as a 21 minute substitute in the final day 4-0 defeat against Norwich.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has looked to bring in a number of young players since his appointment in the summer and he has already brought in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman from then League One duo Sheffield United and Charlton respectively.

He has blooded the two young attackers into the first team and it is felt that they will be ready to play a more prominent role in the next campaign.

Now, Koeman will be on the look out for the next emerging star this summer and Bowler could be just that.
