Everton will decide not to sign Enner Valencia on a permanent deal from West Ham, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The regional newspaper claims that the Merseysiders have the option to sign the attacker in a deal worth £11million following a season-long loan at Goodison Park.

It is understood that negotiations have been going on for weeks and that Everton have finally lost patience and will emphatically decide that a deal is a no-go.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is said to hold all the cards on a potential deal for Valencia. However the Liverpool Echo states that the Dutchman is looking at other attacking targets – with Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson high on his wishlist.

Valencia, 27, has been on loan at Everton since August 2016, despite taking part in seven of West Ham’s opening fixtures of the 2016/17 campaign.

The 36-times Ecuador international struggled to earn a place in Koeman’s first-team plans though, and started just seven times in all competitions.

In total, Valencia made 23 appearances for the Merseyside outfit, scoring three goals and supplying two assists.

He joined the Hammers from Mexican club Pachuca in 2014 and has since found the net on ten occasions in 72 matches while in London.

West Ham paid £12million for the attacker’s services and would make a small loss if they sold him for the price they were asking of Everton.
