Premier League duo Everton and West Ham are eyeing Werder Bremen attacker Max Kruse, according to Sport Bild.

The German news outlet details that both the Toffees and the Hammers have added the 29-year-old forward to their summer target list alongside fellow top-flight clubs Southampton, West Brom and Stoke.

Kruse was in red hot form in the Bundesliga last season and returned a stunning 15 goals in 23 top-flight matches alongside providing seven himself.

He is also going into the final two years of his contract at Werder Bremen and with his final years approaching he may look favourably upon a move to the Premier League.

Now, both Everton and West Ham have limited options in the striker positions with there being little depth behind either of star duo Romelu Lukaku and Andy Carroll.

Additionally, Lukaku’s future at the Toffees is currently in doubt with the Belgian attacker refusing to extend his contract at the club which is set to expire in 2019 amid reported Manchester United and Chelsea interest.

Meanwhile, Carroll has had another season full of injury struggles and he featured just 18 times in the Premier League this season.

Now, both Ronald Koeman and Slaven Bilic could be looking at 14-time capped Germany international Kruse to fill a gap currently left in their squads.
