Tottenham should be keeping a close eye on some of Ajax’s emerging stars on Wednesday night.

The Dutch giants face Manchester United in the Europa League final and will be hoping to win the club’s first European silverware since 1995.

Ajax manager Peter Bosz has a talented group of young players at his disposal and a number of them are destined to play for some of Europe’s big clubs.

Spurs will need a few additions ahead of next season as they look to compete in both domestic and European competitions.

Mauricio Pochettino has shown his desire to promote youngsters in his first team and dipping into the pond of Ajax players could be a sensible move.

Here, This Is Futbol picks out three Ajax stars that Spurs should be keeping tabs on.

Kasper Dolberg

Ajax forward Dolberg has been one of the breakout stars in Europe this season and is being tipped to become a big star in the future. The 19-year-old has scored 23 goals in just 47 appearances across all competitions and Manchester United will be fearing the teenager. Spurs do need some extra back-up for talisman Harry Kane and Dolberg could be a good long-term option. He began his career as a left winger and has been transformed into a prolific central striker. It will be interesting to see how he compares to United’s Marcus Rashford in the Europa League final as one of them could step up to prove they are already the finished article.

Davinson Sanchez

Spurs do have the best defensive record in the Premier League and may feel they don’t need to improve their backline, but Pochettino has switched his defence frequently. The north London club have used a three-man defence and a straight back four this season, with the position of England international Eric Dier still not known. Ajax wonderkid Sanchez could comfortably solve that problem and give Spurs additional defensive cover. The 20-year-old has been an ever-present in the side and made 45 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with a respectable tally of six goals. He is a powerful no-nonsense centre-back and looks like he could be a good fit for the Premier League.

Davy Klaassen

Ajax captain Klaassen has been a driving force behind his side’s success this year and has been highly influential as an attacking midfielder. Sceptics will point to stars from the Dutch league struggling in the English division, with Vincent Janssen an obvious example, but Christian Eriksen is a great case of it working. Klaassen has Mae 49 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 20 goals and supplying 12 assists. Spurs do already have some brilliant attack-minded midfielders in their squad, but their squad certainly needs revamping if they are to make the next step and win silverware.
