Tottenham and Everton are set to battle it out for Burnley striker Andre Gray in the summer, according to a report.

The Telegraph claim that the two clubs want to sign the 25-year-old striker, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise from non-league football to the top flight.

It is understood that Burnley are likely to cash in on the forward as he has just one year remaining on his contract.

The report details that Spurs and Everton have identified Gray as a summer target, with the latter set for a busy window when they could spend £75million.

Gray has become an important player for Burnley and helped them avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

However, the English forward was playing non-league football at the beginning of his career and will fondly remember playing for clubs such as Hinckley and AFC Telford.

He is now proving himself at the top of English football and is an important member of Sean Dyche’s side.

Gray has made 35 appearances this season across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and supplying two assists in return.

Spurs could be in the market for a new attacker in the summer as they look to help provide back-up for talisman Harry Kane, who has not received much support from teammate Vincent Janssen.
