Manager Pedro Caixinha hopes to announce the signings of Benfica pair Daniel Candeias and Dalcio alongside Ryan Jack this week, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper details that the Portuguese boss is “desperate” to get as much of his transfer business done as possible ahead of his team’s return to pre-season on June 5.

This has led to the March appointment working around the clock to sign up players as he himself looks to overhaul his squad which finished in third place and the Sun states that it is expected that midfielder Jack will be confirmed as Rangers’ first summer signing within the next 72 hours.

The 25-year-old has seen his contract expire at second placed Aberdeen and Caixinha has moved swiftly to bring him across to Glasgow.

Meanwhile, attacker Candeias, 29, worked with Caixinha when he was in charge at Nacional and it is believed that the Portuguese boss is keen to re-link with the player who has yet to play a first team game for Benfica since joining in 2014.

His teammate Dalcio is just getting started in his career and the 21-year-old is currently plying his trade in the Benfica B team.

It is stated by the Sun that they understand a season-long loan deal is close to being finalised for the former Portugual Under-20 international and Caixinha will hope to have the three players in ahead of next month’s Europa League qualifiers.
