Leeds co-owner Andrea Radrizzani has made Norwich’s Jonny Howson his number one target for the summer, according to a report.
The Sun claim that the Radrizzani, who is in talks to take full ownership of the Yorkshire club, has identified the 28-year-old as a priority signing ahead of next season.
It is understood that the 42-year-old is keen on promotion from the Championship next season and believes ex-Leeds player Howson can aid their chances.
The report details that the bidding could start at £4million for the central midfielder and that he still has two years remaining on his Norwich deal.
Radrizzani is set to take full ownership over from Massimo Cellino and bringing back fans favourite Howson to Eland Road could go down very well with supporters.
The Norwich ace started his career at Leeds as a youngster and is a product of their prestigious academy.
He made 219 appearances during his career for the Yorkshire giants, before making the move to Carrow Road back in 2012.
Howson has enjoyed a successful spell with Norwich and remained an important member of their squad this season.
He made 39 appearances for the Championship club, scoring six goals and supplying eight assists from midfield to show his creative spark.
