West Ham are “interested in the possibility” of signing Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, according to Goal.

The football website claims the French attacker is on Slaven Bilic’s summer wishlist alongside Chelsea star Michy Batshuayi and Mancheser City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Martial made a sensational £51million move from Monaco to Old Trafford in the summer of 2015, and burst onto the scene in his first season for the club scoring 11 goals in 31 Premier League appearances.

However the 21-year-old has struggled for game time this season and his goal output has also been down with 25 league games yielding just four goals, although he has weighed in with six assists.

His form was slightly better in cup competitions, as he struck four goals in 15 outings for the Reds, but his goal return will still be regarded as disappointing given his price tag.

West Ham themselves struggled for goals this season, as first choice striker Andy Carroll spent much of the campaign on the sidelines through injury.

The Hammers top scorer with eight league goals, Michail Antonio, also missed part of the season with a hamstring injury.

Bilic is looking to improve his attacking options ahead of next season as he will hope to improve on the East London club’s 11th-place finish.
