West Ham could cut losses on Snodgrass – Insider

|

West Ham could be prepared to cash in on winger Robert Snodgrass this summer and are eyeing a number of players to replace him, according to a club insider.

Ex-WHU Employee, who is a reliable source of Hammers news and has broken a number of stories about the club this season, revealed in his column for The West Ham Way on Tuesday that Snodgrass is “potentially going”.

The 29-year-old moved to West Ham in a £10.2million deal just months ago, but after a disappointing start to life at the London Stadium, the Hammers could consider moving him on.

Snodgrass contributed just two assists from his 15 appearances in all competitions for the club, and failed to hit the back of the net, despite his stunning form for Hull earlier in the campaign.

Ex-WHU Employee also revealed, however, that West Ham were considering moves for several wingers this summer as an alternative to Snodgrass, but that it depends on a couple of players moving on.

Independent news outlet West Ham World have claimed that Premier League newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion are preparing an £8million offer for the Scotland international’s services.

But Snodgrass might not be the only senior player sacrificed this summer, as the West Ham insider added that the club would also be ‘listening to offers’ for injured-plagued duo Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the club are weighing up a move for experienced goalkeeper John Ruddy, who has been released by Norwich, should Darren Randolph be sold.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is expected to make further changes to his first-team squad following the confirmed arrival of Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta last week, but the planned overhaul is also likely to come with departures.
