Tottenham full-back Kieran Trippier has boldly stated he thinks manager Mauricio Pochettino is the best in regards to his man management.

The 45-year-old Argentine has only been in management for eight years after starting with Espanyol in 2009 where his contract was terminated by mutual consent just three years later after a 2-0 home loss against Getafe in 2012.

He has since however proven a success in England and after taking charge of Southampton in 2013 and transforming them into a top 10 English club he has also made Tottenham into one of the country’s best side’s.

This has brought many plaudits from elsewhere and Pochettino himself has shown that he has what it takes to compete against the likes of Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp.

Some of his biggest supporters are also his players and Trippier has hailed his boss for his communication, describing his man management skill as the best in the game.

“He demands a lot from you as an individual and as a team collective,” started Trippier speaking to the official Tottenham Twitter account.

“It’s very important that you need to listen to what he says and take it out onto the field.

“He’s all you can ask for really, man management, when he speaks to you one-to-one I think is the best.”

Trippier was brought to Tottenham by Pochettino in the summer of 2015 in a £3.5million deal from Burnley.

He has often struggled to break into the team with Kyle Walker ahead of him in his first two years at the club, but after playing just 11 minutes of Premier League football in the first half of Spurs’ last campaign he enjoyed a nice run in the team which saw him start against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The full-back will now be hoping for a similar run next season as Pochettino targets the Premier League title after this campaign’s second placed finish.
