High profile pundit Stan Collymore has claimed Tottenham will clean up in the Premier League if they hang on to Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Mauricio Pochettino.

Kane and Alli were the stand-out performers for the side who finished second in the top-flight and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Kane confirmed himself as one of the league’s top strikers by scoring 29 goals in 30 Premier League games, including seven in the final two games, to clinch the golden boot.

Meanwhile Alli, still only 21, scored a phenomenal 18 goals in 37 league appearances, as well as providing nine assists.

Collymore hopes the pair will stay with the North London club, despite the fact they did not win any trophies this season.

Writing in his Boyle Sports column, he said: “My only hope is that Kane, Alli and co, even Poch, don’t see short term gains elsewhere and decide to play the long game and stay.

“A gamble for the modern ‘I want it all now’ footballer, but if they do, not only North London will be theirs, the whole league could be.”

Alli and Kane are both England regulars despite being 21 and 23-years-old respectively, showing how highly they are regarded by the international selectors.

Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins at White Hart Lane in the summer of 2014 upon leaving Southampton, and has since transformed the side.

Collymore enjoyed a career which spanned 20 years and he played for Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa among others, winning three caps for England.

Now aged 46, he works as a football pundit for BT Sport and is a columnist for Boyle Sports and the Daily Mirror.
