Tottenham posted a Twitter message about their former player Gareth Bale – and fans on Twitter have reacted in a negative fashion to the post.
The club was celebrating ten years since they signed the Welsh wizard from Southampton by looking back at his top five goals in a Spurs shirt.
They included his brilliant volley against Stoke, his thunderous long-range effort against West Brom and his final goal for the club against Sunderland.

However, supporters were angry that Bale failed to acknowledge the club when they were playing their final match at White Hart Lane last month.
Fans stated that Bale, who moved to Real Madrid for a then-world record fee of £85milliom in 2013, didn’t send any messages before, during or after the farewell match against Manchester United.
The Premier League encounter took place on May 14, with striker Harry Kane scoring the winning goal during a memorable and emotional 2-1 victory.
Leading up to the fixture and after the match, ex-players were reminiscing about their time at the Lane through various media platforms.
But fans have remembered that Bale didn’t send a single message through social media as they were clearly upset with the Madrid player.
One supporter stated that Bale has “forgotten all about us”, while others were pretty clear that they no longer care about him.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

During his time at the club, Bale played 203 matches for Spurs in all competitions, scoring 56 goals and supplying 58 assists.
Since moving to Madrid, he has won two Champions League trophies and he now has the chance to add a third European cup to his name when his side take on Juventus in the final next month in his hometown of Cardiff.
