Manchester United and Manchester City have been alerted to the possible availability of Kasper Schmeichel.

According to a report in The Sun the Leicester keeper has recently changed agents sparking speculation that he could soon be on the move.

Schmeichel has been the one Leicester player exempt from criticism this season and was rewarded with a lucrative new deal earlier this season.

However his decision to switch agent to Luca Bascherini could open the door to a move with the keeper having links with both Manchester clubs.

The 30-year-old started his career with City and was until recently best known as the son of United legend Peter.

City are certainly in the market for a first choice keeper while United are covering a number of options as they brace themselves for a bid from Real Madrid for David de Gea.

Leicester will be in no rush to sell the keeper but would struggle to hold on to the 30-year-old if a £20m bid is received.
