Broadcaster Piers Morgan has hilariously mocked Tottenham on Twitter by gloating about how he has more followers than the club’s official social media account.

Avid Arsenal fan Morgan reached 5.8million followers on Monday morning and he couldn’t help but notice that he has 3.8million more followers than Spurs’ official account which has 2.01million.

The Good Morning Britain presenter is very outspoken on Twitter, whether he is talking about the troubles at Arsenal or his dislike for their north London rivals Tottenham.

After he thanked over five million people for following him on his personal Twitter account, Morgan then took a little swipe at Spurs.

“5.8million followers, thank you,” said Morgan. “That’s 3.8million more followers than Tottenham.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s side finished above Arsenal this season for the first time under Arsene Wenger’s reign, with many fans, including Morgan calling for him to leave the club.

Spurs ended their campaign as runners-up, with Chelsea going on to lift the Premier League title and finishing seven points ahead of their London neighbours.

Presenter Morgan has been very vocal about how Wenger should leave the club because he has not won the league title since 2004.

But, he would have enjoyed his side winning the FA Cup at the weekend when the Gunners beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley.

That FA Cup triumph means that Arsenal, who finished outside of the top four, have lifted more silverware than Spurs, Manchester City and Liverpool this term.
