Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke – and fans on Twitter have provided mixed views to his signing.

The club confirmed on their official website on Tuesday afternoon that the 19-year-old will move to Anfield on July 1 when his contract at Stamford Bridge expires.

Solanke is currently representing England at the under-20’s World Cup in South Korea, where he has played three matches for his home country, scoring one goal.

The highly-rated teenager becomes Jurgen Klopp’s first summer signing and there is no doubt that fans want to see more additions over the course of the summer.

Liverpool finished in the top four this season, which means they now have the chance to enter the group stages of the Champions League for the following campaign.

As a result, the Reds supporters provided a wide range of views when Solanke was confirmed as their first signing, with some expecting a much bigger name.

One fan stated that the expectations amongst the Liverpool supporters is that they want to sign players such as Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbpabbe or Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, but instead they sign a player from Chelsea’s youth academy.

One supporter even felt that RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keïta will be their next signing following his successful season in the Bundesliga.

Overall, the Liverpool fans weren’t too sure what to make of the Solanke deal given the fact that he has only played one senior match for Chelsea.
