Manchester City and Chelsea are keeping tabs on Laurent Koscielny.

According to a report in The Sun, French media sources have the Arsenal defender as a target for Marseilles with Manchester City also interested in the 31-year-old.

Koscielny has been a regular in the Arsenal defence this season but the almost certain loss of Champions League football for next season could have consequences throughout the club.

Marseilles are back in the big money league as they demonstrated with the signing of Dimitri Payet and have also been linked with an interest in Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal paid Lorient £10m to sign the defender in July 2010 and would look for at least double that figure for a defender with seven years of top flight experience.

There has been no indication from the player that he is looking to quit Arsenal but a big money move back to France could prove convincing if Arsenal struggle to attract new faces in the summer.
