Everton are one of eight sides said to be tracking Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore, according to Turkish publication Fanatik.

The report claims Galatasaray’s sporting director Cenk Ergun has made the first move in attempting to sign the 21-year-old attacker, after meeting Traore following the Europa League final in Stockhom.

Traore has spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan with Dutch giants Ajax this season, and was a part of the side that failed to break down Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United on Wednesday night as they suffered a 2-0 loss.

The 27-time Burkina Faso international is said to have spoken to Ergun, but is also interesting Everton as well as six other clubs in the form of Monaco, Lyon, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Stoke and Valencia.

Traore is not the first Chelsea attacker to be reportedly interesting the Toffees, with The Daily Mail claiming Ronald Koeman’s side are also interested in Tammy Abraham.

Ajax’s number nine has been in superb form this season, scoring 13 goals and turning provider on a further six occasions from the right flank during his 39 league and cup encounters.

Traore is just one member of an impressive young Ajax side that boasts emerging talents such as Davy Klaassen, Kasper Dolberg and Matthijs de Ligt.

The speed machine is known for his explosive pace, but could be available to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis this summer after making just 16 senior appearances since his move from Vitesse in 2013.

With the likes of Pedro, Eden Hazard, Willian and Victor Moses ahead of Traore in the pecking order, Antonio Conte is unlikely to give the winger a chance to shine in the first team.

His contract in west London lasts for another two years, and Everton could look to bring the youngster to Goodison Park to rival the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
