Mark Schwarzer believes an Everton move for Manchester City’s Joe Hart would suit the goalkeeper if he does return to the Premier League in the summer.

The Daily Mail claim Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in signing the two-time Premier League champion with a fee of £15million said to be enough to prise him away from Pep Guardiola’s side.

Speaking to talkSPORT on Thursday morning, former Chelsea and Middlesbrough goalkeeper Schwarzer believes Hart would fit right in at Everton but believes he would also suit the likes of Liverpool and Man United.

“I think it’s best for him to be back in the Premier League, I really do,” Schwarzer said. “Which club? There are a number of clubs.

“I think Everton would be a good fit for him, I’d say Liverpool if they are deciding to change anything in there.

“I think Manchester United, if [David] De Gea were to leave. Joe Hart could be a very good fit for Manchester United.”

Hart, 30, was ostracised by his parent club in the summer, as Guardiola criticised his lack of ability with the ball at his feet and instead decided to sign former Barcelona stopper Claudio Bravo.

It saw the former Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper make a last-minute switch to Serie A Torino in the summer, where he has struggled to stem the flow of goals in a side that sit in ninth with one game to play.

Torino’s number 21 has kept just six clean sheets in 37 league and cup appearances, but it is believed that the Italian outfit’s defence are just as much to blame.

With his future at City unlikely to last beyond the summer, it remains to be seen if Hart will fight for his place at the Etihad Stadium or jump ship with clubs reportedly queuing up for his signature.
