Everton have emerged as favourites to sign Henry Onyekuru.
According to a report in The Daily Star the Eupen striker is close to agreeing a deal to go to Goodison after Ronald Koeman stepped into negotiations.
Onyekuru scored the goals that helped Euepen to promotion last season and has continued in the same form in the top flight.
Celtic tried to get the 19-year-old signed in January but since that window closed Liverpool, Southampton and West Ham have all been making regular scouting checks.
Koeman has extensive contacts across Holland and Belgium and believes that Onyekuru is ready to step straight up into the Premier League without having to go out on loan.
A fee in the region of £9m will be required but with Romelu Lukaku expected to move on in the summer Everton will be flush with cash and in need of a striker ready to hit the ground running.
