Rangers favourite Peter Lovenkrands is one of four new faces to join the club’s academy set-up, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The Gers confirmed on their official website that ex-player Lovenkrands has returned to Ibrox and will have a part-time capacity to work with the youth team once he has his UEFA A Licence.

Meanwhile, Andy Little will also return to the Scottish giants to work with the Children’s academy, plus Brian Gilmour and Stephen Wright also have roles

Rangers have undergone a major reshuffle in their academy and will hope that it can help them produce talented young players for the future.

They have a number of developing youngsters and manager Pedro Caixinha will be hoping he can promote some talents to the first team.

Rangers are set for a busy summer as they look to establish themselves back in the top flight and will be looking to build on their third-placed league finish.

Caixinha is expected to be busy in the summer and the Daily Record report that eight players could be shipped out in the transfer market.

It appears Rangers have already begun changes by bringing in some new faces to their academy and Lovenkrands will be a popular returning figure.

The 37-year-old enjoyed a successful playing career at a number of clubs and his six-year spell at Ibrox in the earlier stages made him a popular figure with fans.
