Vincent Janssen has hinted that he does not have a long term future at Tottenham after admitting that he has achieved his minimum target at the Premier League club.

The 22-year-old also said that he is expecting all parties involved to come together for talks once he is finished on international duty with the Netherlands, where the striker says his focus currently lies.

Janssen has been unimpressive in his debut season in North London following his move from AZ Aklmaar last summer and Turkish news outlet Ajansspor claims that Galatasaray are interested in buying him.

When asked by AD about his future at at club level, Janssen did not seem eager to commit himself to Spurs on a long-term basis.

“I would first like to focus on the Dutch national team,” said the striker.

“Then we see how well all parties see the future. I have always said: I’ll give myself at least a one year chance at Spurs.

“I have played less than expected, but I am now a better player by working every day in the top of England.”

Janssen has spent most of his game time by coming off the bench for Spurs, but has still managed to score just six goals in 38 appearances in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Only two of those goals have come in the Premier League with one coming in his last 90 minute-long appearance against Leicester in October and the other being a last-minute strike in the 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth.

The 10-times Netherlands international is now preparing for a friendly clash with Morocco on Wednesday.

His nation will then face Ivory Coast in another friendly on Sunday before clashing with Luxembourg in a 2018 World Cup qualifier next week.
