Lookman’s heroics in front of goal mean that England will now face either Mexico or Senegal on Monday 5 June and look to book a place in the World Cup semi-finals for the first time since the 1993 tournament.
Lookman joined the Merseyside club in the January transfer window from League One side Charlton Athletic.
The youngster made an instant impression at Goodison Park as he came on as a substitute and scored on his debut in the 4-0 Premier League win over Manchester City.
