Chelsea face a battle with Juventus to sign Alvaro Morata.

According to a report in The Sun, Antonio Conte’s side are favourites to sign the Real Madrid striker although they face strong competition from the Italian side.

Bringing the three parties together is the fact that the striker went on loan to Juve while Conte was manager.

The 24-year-old seems certain to leave Real in the summer and will have to choose between the club he went on loan to or the manager he worked with.

There is a massive mutual respect between Morata and Conte but that won’t be enough to seal a deal to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are believed to be ready to offer a five year deal worth £8.4m a year to the striker with Conte ready to slot Morata into the side as a direct replacement for Diego Costa who seems certain to quit Chelsea in the close season.
