Aston Villa are checking out Haris Seferovic.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the Eintract Frankfurt striker is less than prolific but it’s believed that his physical style of play appeals to Steve Bruce.

The 25-year-old is believed to be out of contract at the end of the season although Eintract may have an option to extend his contract by 12 months.

Seferovic scored in the 2014 World Cup against Ecuador for Switzerland but his club career hasn’t kicked on since being involved in Brazil.

Bruce is expected to make wholesale changes at Villa in the summer as he attempts to put together a promotion winning side.

After going through two managers a year there is a large number of players surplus to requirements but sitting on lucrative contracts.

In an attempt to balance the books Bruce will have to find value in the transfer market with players like Seferovic under consideration while hoping to move on Ross McCormack less than a year after he was signed for £12m.
