Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Marc Roberts.
According to a report in the Birmingham Mail the Barnsley defender could be on his way to Villa Park to link up again with Conor Hourihane and James Bree.
Steve Bruce is clearly a big fan of the football played at Oakwell and wants to bring in Roberts to compete for a place in central defence.
Massive changes are expected this summer at Villa Park with Bruce looking to clear out a squad assembled by various managers down the years.
Assembling a squad ready to mount a bid for automatic promotion is the aim with Bruce well versed in what is required to gain promotion to the top flight.
