Spurs will have to come up with £40m if they want to sign Wilfried Zaha.
According to a report in The Sun, Crystal Palace have put that price on the head of the 24-year-old who recently made his international debut for the Ivory Coast.
Palace were furious with a £12m bid that Spurs made last summer with Zaha a key figure in the charge away from relegation under Sam Allardyce.
With a £40m price tag on his head Palace are ready to offer Zaha a new contract that could treble his wages which are currently in the region of £40,000/week.
Zaha had an unhappy 18 month spell with Manchester United and is believed to be keen to try his luck again at a top club however a new mega deal with Palace could put that ambition on the back burner.
Spurs are keen to bring in a pacey wide player but at £40m for Zaha they may be forced to turn their attention elsewhere.
