Spurs are weighing up a bid for Michael Keane.

According to a report in the Telegraph the Burnley defender has impressed Mauricio Pochettino who wants to be able to vary his defence between a back three or four.

Keane has been a key part in Burnley’s success this season with his form earning him a place in the last two England internationals.

The 24-year-old started his career with Manchester United but two years at Turf Moor have transformed his game and brought him to the attention of a number of clubs including a possible return to Old Trafford.

Pochettino is hopeful that the lure of joining a club that can offer Champions League football with a strong core of young English players can tempt the defender to London.

Burnley are hoping to sell Keane for £30m but with 25% of any fee going back to Manchester United Dyche won’t be getting all of the cash to invest in a replacement.
