West Brom set to make Sakho move

West Brom are set to bid for Mamadou Sakho.

According to a report in The Sun, Tony Pulis wants to bring in the Liverpool defender who has been in outstanding form on loan at Crystal Palace.

Despite being frozen out by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield Sakho has stepped into the Palace side and helped them to win five out of six matches including a 2-0 win at The Hawthorns.

Pulis likes to build his teams around a strong defence with the 27-year-old Frenchman fitting the West Brom criteria perfectly with a ten year age advantage over Gareth McAuley who has had another outstanding season.

Sakho’s form is expected to attract other offers with Sam Allardyce recently expressing a hope to retain the defender.

Despite being firmly out of the picture after falling foul of Klopp Liverpool are still hoping to turn around a profit on the defender that they paid £18m for in 2013.
