Lucas Perez could be on his way back to Deportivo La Coruna.
According to a report on talkSPORT the Spanish side have made an enquiry about bringing the striker back from Arsenal.
Last summer Arsene Wenger met the £18m get out clause on Perez’s contract but the 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact since his transfer.
Perez has been used mainly in cup competitions this season and has found himself relegated to fourth choice striker behind Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Danny Wellbeck.
West Ham and AC Milan have been linked with a move for the Spaniard but in World Cup season a return to the club where he scored in every second game last season could rekindle his international ambitions.
The highlight of Perez’s season was scoring a hat-trick away to Basel in the Champions League but that failed to get a run in the team with even the likely departure of Sanchez unlikely to improve his prospects at Arsenal.
