Marseille are stepping up their interest in Olivier Giroud.
According to a report in The Sun the French side are ready to follow up their swoop for Dimitri Payet by taking the Arsenal striker to the south of France.
Giroud signed a new contract in January but has had to content himself with a regular place on the bench watching Alexis Sanchez this season.
The 30-year-old has proved to be more than useful as a substitute but is bound to be interested in the chance to lead the line at Marseille as serious money is pumped into the club.
Arsenal paid Montpellier £13m for the striker in 2012 and would be looking to double their money if an offer is put in for the striker.
Giroud has a scoring record of just under one goal every three matches and has gone through a few well publicised barren spells.
A number of key decisions at Arsenal have been put on hold until the future of Arsene Wenger is known.
