Liverpool are preparing a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp is ready to put in a £35m bid for the Arsenal midfielder.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract next summer but there has been little talk of a new contract with deals for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil the priority.

This season the Ox has only started 12 Premier League matches with the former Southampton kid concerned about the direction his career is taking.

Liverpool could offer the 23-year-old his preferred central midfield role and the chance to revive his career away from the negativity that is surrounding Arsenal.

Klopp has decided to target a younger group of players in the hope of developing them through to challenge for the title next season.

With no meaningful negotiations taking place for a new deal Arsenal are likely to accept an offer in the region of £35m even though it is from a direct rival.
