Arsenal are considering a move for Andre Silva to replace Alexis Sanchez.

According to a report in The Metro the £52m rated Porto striker has caught the attention of the Arsenal scouting team as they prepare for the departure of the Chilean striker.

Silva has scored 15 league goals so far this season and has attracted interest from Juventus and Real Madrid.

At just 21 years of age Silva is tipped as Portugal’s next superstar with Ronaldo keen to bring his countryman to the Spanish capital.

With just over a year left on his contract Arsenal are resigned to the fact that Sanchez will leave with negotiations about a new deal failing to make any progress.

Paris St Germain and Juventus are likely to offer in the region of £40m for the Chilean internationalist leaving the Gunners with just over £10m to sign Silva who is in his second season in the Porto first team.
