West Brom are keen to sign Dennis Aogo.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the Schalke defender could be on his way to the Hawthorns this summer when his contract expires.

Aogo has only started two matches this season but with 12 full caps for Germany there is no doubt about his pedigree of the 30-year-old.

West Brom have looked at a number of options for the left-back position with Tony Pulis confident that Aogo is the best match for his side.

The former Hamburg defender has almost a decade of Bundesliga experience behind him and can also play in midfield.

With Albion well clear of relegation Pulis can put in some forward planning secure in the knowledge that the club is in line for another massive television pay day.

After holding back on committing to a new contract Aogo was dropped from the Schalke his side but that hasn’t acted as a deterrent to Pulis as he strives for value in an inflated market place.
