Spurs want to sign Andre Gray from Burnley.

According to a report in The Express, Mauricio Pochettino wants the Burnley striker to take some of the scoring burden away from Harry Kane.

Gray has got 15 months left on his Turf Moor deal and will be sold in the summer after two incredible seasons for Sean Dyche’s side.

This season Gray has scored eight priceless goals as Burnley cement their place in the top flight after notching 23 in last season’s promotion winning campaign.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a Jamie Vardy type rise through the ranks after playing non-league for Hinckley and Luton.

Dyche paid Brentford £9m for Gray in 2015 and can expect to get three times that figure back when he departs in the summer.

Spurs have struggled to find adequate back up for Kane but Pochettino knows that he can’t continue to rely so heavily on the England striker with Gray viewed as the type of striker than can quickly step into the side and deliver goals.
