Tottenham are confident that they can secure long term target Wilfried Zaha in a £30m summer deal.

According to a report in The Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino expects to land the Crystal Palace winger despite interest from Inter Milan and RB Salzburg.

Zaha is under contract with Palace until 2020 but is unhappy that his £40,000/week salary is miles behind recent signings such as Christian Benteke.

Palace were furious at a £15m bid from Spurs last summer but with the stakes raised they will find it difficult to reject a fresh bid that would see the player more than double his current wages.

Zaha is a key player in Palace’s battle against relegation but the club know that long term they are unable to meet the players ambitions.

The 24-year-old had a brief unsuccessful spell at Manchester United and is keen to show that he can play at the highest level with Spurs likely to be able to offer Champions League football.
