Moyes keeps an eye on Arslan

|

Sunderland are weighing up plans to bid for Tolgay Arslan.

According to a report in the Sunderland Echo Davie Moyes has stepped up his interest in the Besiktas midfielder.

Everything will depend of the Black Cats avoiding relegation but Moyes is preparing optimistically for another campaign in the top flight next season.

Arslan has good experience from SV Hamburg in the Bundesliga which should stand him in good stead if he decides to make the move to England.

After three seasons in Turkey it’s believed that Besiktas will be looking for £10m to transfer the 26-year-old.

With a weekend off due to the FA Cup the Sunderland boss had a busy weekend and was spotted at the Dundee United v Hibs match on Friday night.

Match-winner Jason Cummings is likely to have come under the microscope while midfielder John McGinn, a Scotland internationalist despite playing in the second tier, is also likely to be of interest.
