Manchester United are favourites to sign Ivan Perisic.
According to a report in The Sun Jose Mourinho has flown to Zagreb to advance the deal for the Inter Milan winger.
Agent Predrag Mijatovic is central to the deal with the Manchester United boss expected to hold talks about Perisic following the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.
Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with the 28-year-old but it seems that United are a few steps further down the line to securing a £35m deal.
Perisic is vastly experienced from stints in Germany and Italy and was an important part of Croatia’s Euro 16 squad.
Adding an experienced wide player would suit Mourinho who is uncertain about Anthony Martial and sold Memphis Depay in January.
United are certain to be major spenders during the summer with Mourinho expected to challenge strongly for the Premier League title in his second season at the club.
