Liverpool are preparing a £30m bid for Naby Keita.
According to a report in The Liverpool Echo the RB Leipzig midfielder has caught the attention of Jurglen Klopp ahead of a summer overhaul of his first team squad.
Keita may prove difficult to prise away from the RB stable after switching from Salzburg to Leipzig last summer.
The 22-year-old has been in outstanding form this season as the Bundesliga newcomers mount a serious challenge to Bayern Munich.
Keita’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed with Arsenal and Everton also believed to be showing interest.
While Liverpool face stiff competition for the midfielder Keita is represented by the same agent as Saido Mane which could give them an advantage in negotiations.
Klopp is looking to make big changes to his squad in the summer with the emphasis on bringing in younger players with a point to prove with Keita ticking those boxes and expected to be within the club’s transfer range.
